3 Life Changing Quotes to Live By in 2020

A quote might be seem like a simple string of words, but the impact of the words can have a huge impact in your life.

If you haven't yet created a mission statement for your life, or your business, that might be something to consider as soon as possible, but in the meanwhile, a quote that reminds you why you started, or how to press on, can be a game changer!

Below are 3 quotes that, if lived by, can help you have great impact in your life.

1. “Obstacles are those things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.” – Henry Ford

This quote speaks volumes on perspective. Your perspective on life is everything.

Here is my perspective on this quote: If you are committed to your personal growth, obstacles are the best way to improve yourself.

It's only in an obstacle that we stop to reflect and to learn and grow.

If you are committed to your goal, an obstacle pushes you to pause, evaluate, connect with your creator, and ask.

It's when we ask that we receive. Obstacles are part of receiving what you want.

It's time to welcome the obstacles as the part of the journey to becoming great.

Don't get stuck in it.

Don't waste too much energy there. Use it as a stepping stone to get better, keep your eyes on the goal!

2. “If you really want to do something you’ll find a way, if you don’t you’ll find an excuse.” – Jim Rohn

To me, this quote is all about your reason why. If you find yourself not sticking to your goals, might be because you haven't felt enough pain in your current situation to make a change?

Or

Maybe you haven't created a compelling vision of what you want to pull you forward.

Ask yourself, why do I want this? Keep asking why until you get to the very bottom, raw and honest truth, of why you want something.

Hint: post A-players are playing a game much bigger than themselves.

Meaning, they are no longer only living for just themselves, they are trying to live a life of impact, giving back, contributing to this place before their time is up.

Find that why, and I promise you, your excuses why you aren't going to live a meaningful life will seem small and pathetic.

3. “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill

This quote is similar to the first one, but one word stands out; enthusiasm. Effective leaders have enthusiasm.

It's enthusiasm, that inspires, and energizes people and projects.

The secret to having enthusiasm is to stay connected to your creator.

This requires intention on your end. Intentional time aside in prayer and listening. Meditation. Whatever you do. Just do it.

Keeping your flame alive is not done by accident.

Regardless what you go through, get back up, keep going. Remind yourself why you're doing this.

Learn to fan your flame.

You are given the inspiration, the spark.. it's up to you to grow it.

You could narrow the quotes down to three words, so to recap:

"Perspective:" The way you see the world is probably one of the most important. Do you believe your efforts will be rewarded (going to heaven, karma, etc)? You're only going to strive for excellence if you believe its worth it.

"Why:" Knowing the reason why you do something is going to be your foundation upon which you can create something. Only from there can you assign meaning to your life.

"Enthusiasm:" After you discovered your reason why, and that you belief its pursuit is worth it, it's up to you to keep up the energy to create it. No one else will do it for you.

Cheers to a new year; a new decade!
